Charlemagne- 10

(742 A.D-814 A.D) Charlemagne was believed to be born in the year 742 but that is controversial but he was born in the city of Herstal near what is now Belgium.  He was the oldest of his siblings.
Q: What important figure are you related to?
A: I am related to Martel the man that held back the Umayyads in the Battles of tours he is actually my grandfather.
Q: When were you given the title Emperor of Roman?
A: I was given the title Emperor in the year 800 on Christmas day.
Q: You had a brother though named Carloman how did you split the city between the two of you?
A: I ended up taking the area that surrounded the city while he got the very inner part of it.
Q:You had many campaigns didn't you?
A: Yes I had a lot of campaigns some of them included my Italian campaign which included the conquest of Lombardy and southern Italy, then there was my Spanish campaign which included the Roncesvalles campaign, and the war with the Moors, then there was my Eastern campaign which also had its battles.
Q: How do you think that you effected history?
A: One of my big contributions was probably the invention of stirrups it helped our armies to do better in battle by being able to stand with stability.
